We were without power for a night because the previous tenant didn't pay his bills, and the oddball super didn't bother to do anything about it before we signed for the apartment. Initially I was able to tell the super that we were without power, but when she handed me the overdue notice we spent 10 minutes talking at each other with absolutely zero understanding. I finally said "thank you" and went back to the apartment.
