The is still inside the old medina. When we first entered, there was a tour guide that immediately began showing us around the city even though we really didn't want him since we were there mainly to take some iPix pictures. When we told him we didn't need his services, he replied, "I am not mafia, I am good! I am a gentle man!" We encountered the mafia line with a few other people, which leads me to believe that Casablanca is not as innocent as I first thought it was.
